What Is Osteopathic Manipulation?

Osteopathic manipulation (OMT) is a treatment that uses different hands-on techniques to re-align the body's structure and reset the tension of surrounding tissues. This increases movement of the joints, improves circulation and lymphatic flow which allows the body to heal itself, improving both function and reducing pain. Dr. Hawley trained extensively in OMT during her residency, where she went on to teach the technique to fellow residents as Chief Resident. It's a core part of how she practices, alongside traditional family medicine.

You don't have to switch doctors to see her for this. If you already have a primary care physician you love, that's wonderful. You're welcome to keep them and simply come to Dr. Hawley for OMT treatment alongside your regular care. No pressure, no strings attached.
